How to Draw Sci-Fi Heroes and Villains

HOW TO DRAW SCI-FI HEROES AND VILLAINS (Monacelli Studio/Phaidon, 2023) is the sequel/companion to my 2016 book How to Draw Sci-fi Utopias and Dystopias. The book is all about brainstorming and designing outlandish characters—humans, robots, aliens, cyborgs, the works. My approach was to create two teams of nine characters each—the Alpha Union (good) and the Omega Legion (evil). The result is a gorgeous, giftable book for kids 12 and up—but anyone who loves sci-fi will dig this. Its centerpiece is two three-page foldouts showing both teams in glorious action.
